I got a chuckle this morning reading the Seattle PI about an 80 year old Grandma who blogs! I've heard from a few agents that they don't want to blog because they don't believe their older clientele will read blogs...well, I'd bet you'd be surprised:
"Internet use by seniors is on the rise, according to the Pew Internet and American Life Project, which released surveys on the subject in 2000 and 2004. The percentage of Americans 65 or older who go online jumped from 15 percent in 2000 to 22 percent in 2004, and it appeared to be on an upward trajectory, the studies found.
"There are a lot of people who are 80 and over who are using computers and the Internet," said Phil Carnahan, a consultant with SeniorNet, a national group that offers computer training to seniors."
It's all about writing about things you're passionate about. For Lorrene Lemaster, it ranges from her grandkids to potato salad...her sincerity rings through. I invite you to check out her blog: Pet Peeves and Other Ramblings. I guarantee it will make you smile...and I can't think of a nicer way to ring in the New Year!
Stumble It!
