    Three Friday's of Rates Chart

    Editors Note:  this is rough chart...if any bloggers out there have a better program for creating a graph, please let me know.

    Rates shown above are based on what I've quoted here for Friday's Rates and live on Twitter and are priced with 1 point.

    Rates for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage have ranged from the mid 5's to the high 6's in just 11 days.   This chart does not reflect how often rates are changing on average each day. 

    Are you floating or locking your interest rate?

    I advise clients who are considering refinancing and waiting for a certain price point to complete an application and mortgage review.  This way, I'm able to lock in their desired interest rate should it become available.  Waiting a day to mull whether or not to lock can be an expensive decision.
